Security Special Interest Group
A place to ask better questions.
A security special interest group for Mensa members, with public learning resources for everyone.
About SecSIG
SecSIG is the Security Special Interest Group, an official special interest group of American Mensa. Mensa members from other countries are welcome to join.
The subject is broad: cybersecurity, privacy, physical security, human behavior, and the decisions people make about risk. You can approach it as a practitioner, an interested newcomer, or someone whose work and interests cross several disciplines.
Membership eligibility
SecSIG membership is restricted to Mensa members. Professional security experience is not a prerequisite.
Join SecSIG
To join, email info@secsig.org with your name, Mensa membership number, and the country of your Mensa membership.
American Mensa members can also open SecSIG’s entry in the official SIG directory (opens in a new tab). The detailed listing requires an American Mensa sign-in.
Public presentations & learning
Bill Weber coordinates SecSIG and occasionally gives Mensa talks under the SecSIG banner. Presentations is the home for SecSIG talk materials. Reference links are organized by topic in the Research Library. The website and its published materials are available without a member login.
